Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Tupps attained his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The Ohio State University in 1986. He returned to OSU in 1989 and earned his Doctor of Optometry from The College of Optometry in 1993.
Dr. Tupps has been in practice in Pinellas County since late 1993.
In the past, Dr. Tupps worked as the Contact Lens Specialist / Staff Optometrist at St. Luke’s Laser & Cataract Institute. He has also served as a clinical researcher for contact lens companies.
Dr. Tupps practices primary care optometry with a special emphasis on the latest technology and personalized care (including hard-to-fit contact lens prescriptions.) He is able to detect, diagnose, and treat many vision conditions using some of the latest computerized diagnostic instrumentation.
Working with ophthalmologists with subspecialties such as vitreo-retinal, refractive, corneal, cataract, cosmetic reconstructive and glaucoma specialists rounds out the care that Dr. Tupps provides to his patients.
Known for his kind manner and ease with patients of all ages, Dr. Tupps will take the time to hear all your concerns and answer all of your questions.
Dr. Tupps is a career-long member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Pinellas Optometric Association. He has also worked with charitable organizations including the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and Lions Club. Dr. Tupps lives in Safety Harbor with his wife Michelle. His hobbies include fishing, surfing, snowboarding & travel.
Andreas Zacharopoulos, O.D.

Dr. Z graduated from the University of South Florida with a 4.0 GPA, earning a B.A. in Chemistry and a Minor in Biomedical Physics. He then started optometry school at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, where he graduated #1 in his class and obtained the highest National Board scores in Florida. Dr Z completed a residency at the Orlando VA Medical Center, where he gained incredible experience in managing ocular diseases. In addition, Dr Z is an instructor for KMK Educational Services, a company that helps future generations of eye doctors pass their National Board exams. Representing the company, Dr Z provides private group tutoring, and occasionally flies out to optometry schools on weekends for review lectures.
Dr Z enjoys many aspects of optometry, some of them being cataract surgery co-management, contact lens fittings -including multifocals, Misight, and scleral lenses-, and glaucoma management. In his free time, Dr Z loves to play soccer, go rock climbing, and travel.

Natasha is ABO/NCLE-certified and has been in the optical field since 1992. She also does exam pre-testing, visual field testing, takes retinal photos and conducts retinal scans. Natasha will also help you select the best frame, lenses and accessories for your needs. In addition she conducts contact lens insertion and removal training. She can help you with any questions you may have about our practice. She enjoys cooking, biking and the movies.

Jonathan orders all of our frames and maintains our wide selection of eyeglasses & accessories. He also does exam pre-testing, visual field testing, takes retinal photos and conducts retinal scans. Jonathan will also help you select the best frame, lenses and accessories for your needs. In addition he conducts contact lens insertion and removal training. Jonathan has been in the optical field since 2008. He enjoys tennis, cooking and baseball.
