Lenses & Treatments

Our experienced Opticians can suggest the best lenses and treatments for your prescription and lifestyle.

Today’s eyeglass lens materials and treatments make a real difference in what you see, and what you don’t see. Scratches, glare, ultraviolet rays—all are potential hazards to healthy sight that can be minimized or eliminated with proper material selection and lens treatments.

Lens Options

  • Bifocal Lenses have two distinct viewing areas
  • High Index & Aspheric Lenses are thinner and lighter — a good choice for stronger prescriptions
  • Photochromic Lenses (i.e. Transitions) change from clear to dark based on the intensity of UV radiation
  • Progressive Lenses are often referred to as “no-line” bifocals or trifocals
  • Polarized Lenses are used in sunglasses to reduce glare
  • Polycarbonate Lenses are shatter resistant
  • Anti-Reflective Coating reduces glare on your lenses
  • Custom Tints personalize your lens look
  • Mirror Coating are used in sunglasses
  • Scratch Resistant Coating is useful for most patients and vital for children

On-Site Lab

Our on-site lab is managed by a skilled technician with extensive experience and is equipped to fill most eyewear needs. Having a lab on-site insures that your eyewear is made accurately and will always meet industry standards. In addition, we can edge lenses for your current frame while you wait (with a pre-scheduled edging appointment.) However, we do use outside labs in some specialty cases (including some insurance orders.)
